(ECNS) – An online-to-offline (O2O) store for cross-border e-commerce platform Americo, which is under Wing On New Group Canada Inc, has opened in Beijing, offering customers thousands of goods from North America, the Beijing Daily reported on Monday.
The first of its kind in downtown Beijing, the store offers a wide range of imported goods, including food, healthcare products, maternity and baby products, and luxury items such as Coach handbags and wines.
Customers can select goods and order by scanning a QR Code beside each of the items, then have them delivered to their homes as quickly as the next day.
According to Zheng Ping, CEO of Wing On New Group, the company has bonded warehouses in Tianjin and Ningbo, which helps cut costs as well as shipping times.
Americo has been operating for more than 10 years, mainly selling Chinese specialties to Chinese communities in Canada. In recent years, the company has seen opportunities from the booming cross-border e-shopping business facilitated by the latest developments in payment solutions.
