(ECNS) -- An amateur microfilm about a pregnant high schoolgirl has been deleted from video streaming website Youku following pressure from the producer's alma mater, Beijing Youth Daily reported.

Second-year students from High School Attached to Tsinghua University made the clip, from scriptwriting to acting and production, for the school's annual carnival.

The plot of the film, named Young & Beautiful, revolves around a high school girl's unplanned pregnancy and presents reactions from the school, teachers and parents.

Despite causing quite a stir on Youku, the film was removed from the Internet site on the day of its premiere upon the school's request. No links to the video or its trailer could be found.

A teacher from the school said the film crossed "the bottom-line" with the video inappropriately showing the school's name and uniform, and therefore may negatively affect the its reputation.

But supporters of the film said it simply presented the thoughts of student and had no relation to the school's public image.
