China dominates 13th Military & Police Sniper World Cup

(ECNS) -- China placed first in three of the five individual and team events at the 13th Military and Police Sniper World Cup held in Budapest, capital of Hungary.

In the individual military category, China's Wang Zhanjun scored a winning 948 points. Another Chinese competitor Zhang Yong won fourth place.

Wang and Zhang also won the military team event with a combined score of 1785 points.

Wang was also awarded the overall champion with the highest score of an individual in the entire competition. He has taken part in the competition for three successive years.

In the police category, a Hungarian competitor was crowned the individual champion and two Belarusians became the group champion.

The competition which concluded on Tuesday attracted 110 participants from 15 countries.

All Chinese winners are from the Falcon Commando Unit, an elite police counter-terror brigade named by Chinese President and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping.
