(ECNS) -- An official in Fushun, Liaoning province, was accused of making a show of doing voluntary work after she was exposed of cleaning streets accompanied by professional photographers recording her activities, Southern Metropolis Daily reported on Tuesday.

Wang Guifen is the municipal Party secretary in the city. It was reported that she took the initiative to help street sweepers last Saturday.

According to a news report, Wang was accidentally recognized by a group of taxi drivers waiting at a nearby traffic light.

A collection of pictures showing Wang sweeping the streets with two other cleaners was released with the report.

Wang was praised by local media for her leadership style of reaching out to ordinary people.

However, some netizens said Wang's activity was a deliberate show, as they claimed that photos showing Wang cleaning the street were shot by professional photographers.

From the angle of the photos and shooting methods demonstrated by the pictures, netizens concluded that the pictures were taken by photographers with professional cameras.

Some netizens pointed out that the other two cleaners in the photos wore facial masks while Wang didn't.

One netizen said that she might hope to be recognized by a deliberate exposure before the camera.
