(ECNS) -- Uyghur tightrope walker Adili Wuxor, known as "China's tightrope prince," will perform in Taiwan this April, Xinhuanet.com reported on Thursday.
Adili and his team will perform an aerial tightrope walk and stage a song and dance show in Kaohsiung.
After the show, he will walk across a 2,000-meter tightrope linking the mainland island of Dadeng to Taiwan's Lesser Kinmen.
Adili said it will be the first time for him to perform in Taiwan. "We hope the show can help promote cultural exchange between the mainland and Taiwan."
He also said he would stop doing such dangerous tightrope walks after this show, and leave more performance opportunities for his apprentices.
The 43-year-old Xinjiang acrobat set the Guinness World's record for aerial tightrope walking eight times after he successfully crossed the Three Gorges on the Yangtze River on June 22, 1997.
