(ECNS)—Gas buyers who don't drive a car to the gas station in Kunming have to register from Sunday until the end of this month, a local newspaper said.
The newspaper said a notice was put up at a gas station, asking individuals who purchase gas to fill containers and not gas tanks in cars to present their ID cards and write down the usage and amount.
Motorcyclists should also present their licenses and register, it said.
A manager at a gas station said they can refuse to sell gas to people who don't have ID cards.
Diesel gas purchasers are not included in the circular, as diesel is not considered a dangerous chemical, said a staffer at a gas station.
