(ECNS) -- A girl from Shandong province showed her Kong Fu skills at the campus of Beijing Film Academy Saturday to express her discontent after failing the preliminary exam for the School of Preforming Arts, the Beijing News reported.

The girl complained she had no opportunities to show her talents during the exam.

The school released a list of candidates passing the preliminary exam on Saturday. A total of 797 candidates out of 5,077 applicants moved on to the second round.

Candidates are scheduled to be tested on their skills in voice, physique, lines, and performing, as well as knowledge in art, history and culture, which are tested orally.

Both examiners and examinees are assigned testing rooms according to their draw results, according to the school.

Jiang Lifen, associate dean of the school, said candidates for the school are not allowed to wear makeup during the exams.

The school is about to recruit 50 undergraduates and 30 vocational students this year, according to Jiang.
