(ECNS) -- The owner of an antique shop in southwest China's Sichuan province called emergency line 110 to report a robbery, but after four failed attempts, her number was blacklisted, the West China City Daily reported.
The woman surnamed Wu in Sichuan's Santai city said three men broke into her shop, beat her, and robbed her on Friday at midnight.
As soon as the robbers fled, Wu dialed 110. But because of a weak signal, she couldn't hear what the operator said, so she hung up and dialed again.
Four times later, her number was rejected by the emergency line and received an automatic voice message saying her number had been marked for "harassment."
Wu then asked her sister to called 110 and report the robbery for her.
Police later said the incident was a mistake, but that is what necessary to blacklist some callers who are abusive.
