(ECNS) -- China's official website for booking train tickets, 12306.cn, has updated its login verification code, a move to disable most browsers that have ticket-purchasing plug-ins, China National Radio (CNR) has reported.
When signing into the website, users are asked to enter a four-letter verification code. The new version of verification codes, not still any more, are wiggling and overlapping.
However, some users have complained of difficulty identifying the letters, saying it is as difficult as reading "an abstract picture."
The website's customer service responded that the upgrade is designed to halt browsers that allow users to cut ahead of others when buying train tickets online.
Most such browsers won't work now, including the Qihoo 360 browser, which has expressed dissatisfaction about the move.
Beijing Kingsoft Software's LieBao browser still works after the upgrade.
