(ECNS) – An 82-year-old man in Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan province, has developed a bus information program for users who want to transfer to buses from the city's Subway Line 1, which is about to open, the Henan-based Dahe Daily reported.

Feng Yunhuai programmed the query sysmtem, "Zhengzhou ditie wenlu" (finding bus routes along Zhengzhou subway), in one week, and users can find out which buses they can transfer to after getting off Subway Line 1, and their route information.

Currently, users can get information on 163 bus routes, which was gathered and collated by Feng.

Feng said he adopted an image stitching program in the system to make it easier for people to use.

He developed the system in order to help the public, Feng added.

Feng used to be a chief engineer at Henan Bureau of Survey and Mapping. He once designed an urban public traffic query system, successfully splicing an interactive map of Zhengzhou Greenery Theme Park with satellite screen shots.
