(ECNS) -- A dancing group of "dama," or older women, in Central China's Wuhan was showered with feces Wednesday night by neighbors angry about the noisy music, Wuhan Evening News said.

Xiong, the lead dama, said she and more than 20 members gather every evening at a square in the community of Hankou district, and nearby neighbors have been complaining about the music for a month.

The conflict had escalated into quarreling, and neighbors threw down coins and rocks at the group to show their anger. And this time, feces.

Xiong said they had lowered the volume but dancing is no fun without music.

The manager of the property management company said the dance music indeed has an impact on some families, and their mediation efforts had failed.
