(ECNS) -- A golden retriever that serves as a salesdog outside a clothing store in South China helped double the revenue in only four days, Guangzhou-based xkb.com.cn said.

Kele, a 5-year-old golden retriever, stood outside a clothing store in Guangzhou to attract clients, wearing a sign on his neck, "All in promotion" and "Pet me."

Maomao, the store owner, said the dog belongs to her roommate Coco, and it began working as a salesdog four days ago.

Kele stood quietly outside the store, and when potential customers approach, it would turn on the charm, which proved it to be a good salesman, she said, adding that her revenue has doubled in the past four days.

Kele was seen attracting 20 customers to the store in half an hour, with most of them also taking photos with it.

Maomao said Kele works 10 hours a day and will get 100 yuan ($16) as its daily wage, which will be saved for future expenses.

It is not an easy job, as Kele became very tired and only wanted to sleep after a day's work, she said.
