(ECNS) -- A paralyzed man in Shaanxi province had to be carried into a bank by emergency medical staff so that he could change the password for his bankcard, the Xi'an-based Huashang Newspaper reported Sunday.

Xu Wanfa, 75, who suffers from several severe diseases, had been in a hospital in Xi'an. His wife said that they survive on Xu's pension, which she draws from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) every month.
