(ECNS)-- A picture of a bunch of flowers made of 50 pieces of 100-yuan bills from a flower shop in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, has become a hit.

Li, the owner of the shop, said the flowers were made on Sept 23 as requested by a customer.

However, Li said it was unknown what the "money flowers" would be used for.

"It is the first time for me to make such special flowers," Li said. "The client just came to the shop and showed me a picture of a bunch of 'money flowers' and told us to make a similar bunch based on the picture. Then he gave us a stack of 100-yuan notes worth 5,000 yuan ($816)."
