(ECNS) -- A 6-year-old boy who couldn't bear to part with his older brother after the summer vacation painted a boarding pass and tried to get on the plane with him, according to Guangzhou Daily.
As students in China usher in the new semester, airports are filled with families sending students back to school.
On Tuesday, at Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, a boy cried and said goodbye to his older brother, who was leaving home to study in another city.
"Please come back and play with me next summer," the boy whimpered.
The sobbing boy finally let go of his brother, and went with his family.
He came back 10 minutes later with a boarding pass, a handmade one.
An airport crew member, surnamed Liang, was surprised to see the fake boarding pass painted with the same content of the real one. Liang explained to the little boy he couldn't board the plane. The boy was then taken away by his parents.
