(ECNS) – A Taiwanese man with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and addicted to washing cars has landed in trouble with the police, Taiwan media reported.

The man surnamed Lu was turned over to a police station after being caught Monday washing a car without the owner's permission.

While at the station Lu refused to stop washing police vehicles until the officers paid him 100 New Taiwan dollars.

"It pains me when I can't wash cars. The feeling is like suffering from drug addiction withdrawal," the man from Taipei said.

Lu used to live in a nursing home, and was taken to gas stations to wash cars for money.

But last October he slipped away from the center and washed cars on the way from Taipei to Chiayi.
