Shilin (ECNS) -- Aisikaier Wubulikaisimu, the 6th descendant of a Xinjiang Dawazi Craft and tightrope walking Guinness World Records holder, successfully walked across a steel beam lifted by two hot-air balloons in Naigu Stone Forest Scenic Spot, Yunnan province, on Tuesday.
The steel beam he challenged was 18 meters long and only 5 centimeters wide. After a warm-up walk, he crossed the beam in 38.35 seconds, setting his third Guinness world record.
Wubulikaisimu, dubbed "The Prince of Tightrope Walking," said he was excited to have met this challenge. "I will try a more difficult performance in the future," he said.
Crossing a steel beam lifted by hot-air balloons has a high degree of difficulty. The steel beam is set on two rising hot-air balloons, which beats the traditional high-wire walk of crossing a fixed wire. The walker has to endure the turbulence and shaking from the floating balloons and maintain his balance while crossing the beam.
