(ECNS) -- China's embassy in Mexico has called on Chinese nationals in the country to increase self-protection awareness in the wake of three Chinese-targeted kidnap-for-ransom cases in Monterrey city, Mexico.
Robberies and thefts targeting Chinese have become rampant in Mexico recently. A notice published by the embassy advises Chinese nationals in Mexico to take care of personal belongings and refrain from going out at night.
In an emergency, Chinese nationals can seek help from the embassy by calling 0052155-54073017, 20936210, or contact the local police.
