Beijing (CNS) -- China's first disaster theme park is expected to be set up in Beijing, according to a contract signed between Shidu town government and several organizations, including China Social Assistance Foundation (CSAF) on Wednesday.
According to the contract, China Social Assistance Foundation and a Beijing-based culture development company will invest a total of 3.5 billion yuan ($570.4 million) in the theme park.
Once completed, the park is expected to help visitors improve their awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation by combining the ideology of disaster education and leisure experience.
Featuring the special landscape of Tianchi Mountain of Shidu's Qiantougang village, the park is expected to take visitors on a thrilling and magical journey.
