西安举办汉服成人礼 青年跪拜感恩父母

5月1日，在西安汉城湖举行的“汉服成人礼”上，近50名年轻人身穿汉服，仿照古代习俗举行了自己的成人礼——冠笄之礼，并向父母行跪拜礼后聆听训示，以传统的方式见证自己长大成人。

Xi'an (CNS) -- Almost 50 young people participated in a Chinese traditional coming-of-age ritual in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, on Wednesday, Labor Day.

The participants wore traditional Han garb, and went through a capping ceremony for young men and hair-pinning ceremony for young women. Then they knelt down in front of their parents and listened to their advice.

Chen Aiguo, whose son participated, said that traditional culture is making a comeback after being neglected for many years. His son said he took pride in wearing the traditional Han garb and he learned more about traditional culture through the ceremony.

Hu Zhongbao, a fan and supporter of traditional Han garb, said more post-80s and post-90s young people are coming to love traditional Han garb.

Wang Zhi, deputy director of Xi'an's cultural heritage center, said people's growing interest in tradition arouses national pride and the world's attention, and represents culture confidence.

Kong Zhengyi, from the Shaanxi folklore society, said many young people join such activities just to be different. But no matter what the intention is, all participation is helpful for recovering traditional culture, he added.
