Beijing (CNS) -- European aircraft manufacturer Airbus will deliver over 100 passenger planes to China in 2013 for the fourth consecutive year, Airbus China said Monday.

Chen Juming, the new president of Airbus China, said more than 40 of the planes will come from the Tianjin final assembly line this year.

The Tianjin final assembly line of Airbus A320 series is a good example of cooperation between Chinese and European enterprises, Chen said.

It has rolled out 118 planes so far, with a production rate of four planes a month, he said. The quality of the aircraft and standard are exactly the same as or even exceed those of Europe, he added.

Airbus will start assembling the A320neo, a revamped A320 with a new engine, in Tianjin for further cooperation, he added.

A total of 890 Airbus planes were in service in China in the past 20 years, according to official figures.
