)2013北京国际长跑节将于4月14日在天安门广场鸣枪开跑，本次长跑节设李宁十公里跑、家庭跑、安利纽崔莱迷你马拉松健康跑3个项目，将有上万名专业和业余选手参加。

Beijing (Ecns) – The 2013 Beijing International Long-Distance Running Festival will be held on April 14 at Tian'anmen Square in the center of the capital city, according to the Beijing Sports Competitions Administration Center on Wednesday.

The annual spring running event has been a tradition in the capital since its launch in 1956.

Hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and the Chinese Athletics Association, this year's event is expected to attract about 20,000 participants. It is composed of three major events: a 10-kilometer race, a race specially designed for families of long-distance runners, and a mini-marathon.

In order to facilitate registrations, 17 stations have been set up in the city, and online registration is also available on the event's official website (www.bjrunningfestival.com).

A total of 177 track and field officials were selected for the event, and 350 volunteers will be on hand, said Hai Zhenwen from the Beijing Sports Competitions Administration Center.
