Dandong (CNS) -- The second heavy snow in seven days enveloped Dandong, Northeast China's Liaoning province, on Monday, hitting the tourism business in border areas of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Those who usually promote tourism for Sinuiju, DPRK's special administrative region, could hardly be found. Only a few vendors peddled cigarettes, currency and other products from the peninsula country.

The Sinuiju Sino-Korean Friendship Bridge and the Yalu River Broken Bridge Scenic Area were covered with snow, and only a few tourists were found in the scenic spot.

Trucks crossing the bridge to and from DPRK moved slowly through the heavy snow. Strict border control of China's customs officers also slowed the traffic.
