Shanghai Tower reaches 470 meters   

上海在建第一高楼攀至470米 创多项新纪录

上海建工集团17日发布信息称，由其总承包施工中的设计高度为632米、121层的“上海在建第一高楼”——上海中心大厦工程建设正“日长夜高”。大厦主楼核心筒日前已施工至101层，高度攀升至470米。

Shanghai (ECNS) -- Shanghai Tower, now under construction, has reached the 101st floor, or 470 meters, the Shanghai Construction Group Co, who is in charge of the project, said on Sunday.

According to the construction group, the ongoing project has broken several domestic and world records, including the one-time successful pouring of 60,000 cubic meters of concrete,which created a six-meter-thick mat foundation of the main building.

As scheduled, Shanghai Tower will be completed by December 2014. It is expected to reach 632 meters in height and open in 2015.

Once it's completed, Shanghai Tower will be the tallest building in China.
