4 cities along Yangtze vow to cooperate   

长江中游省会城市达共识 联手打造经济“第四极”

中国长江中游湖南长沙、安徽合肥、江西南昌和湖北武汉4个省会城市的市长，23日在武汉共同签署《长江中游城市群暨长沙、合肥、南昌、武汉战略合作协议(武汉共识)》，将联手打造以长江中游城市群为依托的中国经济增长“第四极”。

Wuhan (CNS) -- The mayors of four capital cities along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River signed a contract Sunday in Wuhan aimed at promoting economic cooperation in the region.

Changsha, Hefei, Nanchang and Wuhan will strengthen cooperation in transportation infrastructure, tourism and social insurance, according to the contract.

A joint conference will be held annually to outline major work tasks and a communication mechanism will be established to promote information exchange among various departments in the cities, the contract states.

Changsha, Hefei, Nanchang and Wuhan are the respective capitals of Hunan, Anhui, Jiangxi and Hubei provinces.
