Nanchang (CNS) -- A passenger jet out of Hefei made an emergency landing early Thursday morning in response to a phone call warning that explosives were onboard, according to Jiangxi air travel authorities on Thursday.
The airport of Hefei, capital of Anhui Province, received the call around midnight Wednesday, shortly after flight ZH9786 bound for Shenzhen had taken off.
The plane landed at the airport in Nanchang, Jiangxi's provincial capital, where all 160 passengers went through security checks for a second time.
An examination of the aircraft did not uncover any explosives. An investigation is ongoing.
