Snowstorm causes E China airports to close

18日下午，江苏下起了蛇年来的第一场大雪。18日晚间，受到天气影响，南京和扬州机场因道面积雪，目前已经关闭。

Nanjing (CNS) -- This year's first snowfall in east China's Jiangsu province continued from Monday afternoon into the night, disrupting flights and causing some airports to close completely.

A strong cold snap hit the province, bringing snow and low temperatures dropping by seven to eight degrees, according to the local meteorological department.

Airports in Nanjing and Yangzhou have been closed due to snow-covered runways. It is estimated that the closures will last till Tuesday morning.

The snowstorm has also affected flights in other provinces and cities, including Hubei, Zhejiang, Fujian and Shanghai.
