Beijing(CNS)-- Nobel laureate Mo Yan on Sunday attended a Spring Festival party in Beijing hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
It was Mo's first public appearance in official activities since his accepting the Nobel Literature Prize in Sweden last December.
When questioned about whether Mo would attend the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, Guan Xiaoxiao, Mo's daughter, said that her father will spend the festival in his hometown in Shandong province.
Held at the Great Hall of the People, the party brought together nearly 200 artists.
