No plasticizer in soy sauce: Lee Kum Kee   

李锦记回应酱油塑化剂说：食品安全是企业本分

李锦记酱料集团主席李惠中8日现身该集团位于广东新会的生产基地，就众说纷纭的“酱油塑化剂说”进行回应。“好的酱油是不会有塑化剂的，做好食品安全是一个企业的本分。”李惠中说。

Jiangmen (CNS) -- There is no plasticizer in Lee Kum Kee soy sauce, the company's president Li Huizhong said Tuesday.

Ensuring food safety should be the top priority for a food enterprise, he added.

Facing online doubts about possible contamination, Li responded that all of the company's containers, pipes and equipment for brewing and making soy sauce are made with stainless steel, so the soy sauce is not exposed to plasticizer.

Lee Kum Kee is exploring new ways to standardize the testing method for chemical contamination in the company's products, Li said.
