Beijing (CNS) -- Stock analysts remain pessimistic about liquor firms despite their slight rise on Tuesday.

Chinese liquor shares enjoyed slight rises after a plunge on Monday, but were still weak amid a bullish market Tuesday.

Zhu Chengliang, an analyst from Northeast Securities, said that reports of plasticizer in liquor and new military regulations had affected the whole alcohol sector.

The regulations issued last Friday by the Central Military Commission (CMC) aim to curb luxurious banquets and liquor use during receptions for high-ranking officers.

Liu Jiawei, an analyst from Dongxing Securities, said that if the regulations were implemented strictly, sales and prices would decrease.

Liqour sales could hit the bottom in March or April next year, said Wang Ping, from Great Wall Securities.
