Most Chinese agree: things are too expensive  

央行调查:近六成内地居民认为物价高难以接受

18日,由中国央行在内地50个城市进行的2万户城镇储户问卷调查结果显示,居民物价满意指数为22%,较上季回升1个百分点,高于去年同期5.5个百分点。

Beijing (CNS) -- More than half of the Chinese people hold the opinion that commodity prices are too high, according to a survey released Tuesday by the People's Bank of China.

Covering 20,000 urban households in 50 cities, the survey found that 58.5 percent of respondents believe commodity prices are "too high to accept."

More than 40 percent of the respondents predict that commodity prices will continue to rise.
