Doha (CNS)--The inadequate political will of developed countries will be the major obstacle to the global endeavor to combat climate change, according to the Chinese delegation who participated in the UN Climate Change Conference in Doha, which concluded Saturday.

Although the conference has come a long way, the reluctance of developed countries to reverse the trend of climate change poses challenges to the global green endeavor going forward, the delegation said Sunday.

The emission reduction commitment of developed countries for the second phase of the Kyoto Protocol is still inadequate, and funding support from developed countries is also far from enough, it said.
