Beijing (CNS) -- Salaries earned by executives at listed finance and insurance companies in 2011 were the highest among other industries, according to a research report released Tuesday at a forum in Shanghai.
Company size and performance had an influence on the results, but industry type was a major factor in the size of the salaries, the report said.
Finance and insurance company executives had average annual salaries of nearly 2.75 million yuan in the past year, said the report, followed by those in real estate and trade at 970,200 yuan and 758,000 yuan, respectively.
The research concluded that salaries at listed corporations in Guangdong Province and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region were relatively more inspiring for corporate heads, while those in Tibet and Henan Province were less so. State-owned listed corporations also offered more inspiring salaries than private ones.
Leaders of corporations listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange had higher salaries than those listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the ChiNext Index, said the report.
