Kung fu masters to compete in Zhengzhou  

海内外1500多名功夫高手“过招”少林武术节

中国功夫从未有过像今天这样的魅力。21日在河南郑州开幕的第九届中国郑州国际少林武术节，吸引了73个国家和地区的1500多名功夫高手，规模和人数远远超过往届。

Zhengzhou (CNS)—More than 1,500 kung fu masters from 73 countries and regions have descended upon the 9th Zhengzhou China International Shaolin Wushu Festival in Henan Province.

Professional athletes and martial arts lovers from all over the world attended the opening ceremony of the four-day event on Sunday.

The home of Shaolin Temple, Henan Province is one of the birthplaces of Chinese martial arts, or "wushu."
