Baoding (CNS) --Yingli Green Energy, a leading Chinese solar energy company based in Baoding, Hebei Province, responded on Tuesday to an antitrust lawsuit filed by U.S. company Solyndra.

The accusation is groundless and misleading, and we will "vigorously defend ourselves," said Robert Petrina, general manger of Yingli Green Energy Americas.

The accusation involves three Chinese photovoltaic companies, and our company is one of them, said Che Zhuo, law supervisor of Yingli. He said Solyndra defrauded huge amounts of money from the U.S. government and went bankrupt one year ago.

Solyndra alleges that the three companies, which also include Trina Solar and Suntech, "conspired" to destroy it.
