Taipei (CNS) – An exhibit featuring ancient cultural relics unearthed in Shaanxi Province opened at the Taipei Palace Museum on Monday.

A total of 176 important artifacts, most of which were found in the last decade, are on display, showcasing the contributions made by the Western Zhou Dynasty to Chinese history and culture, the organizer said.

In addition to oracle bones, jade artifacts and bronze vessels, long engravings of historical texts and their annotations are also displayed, offering insights into the concepts and merits of Zhou ceremonial systems, said Fung Ming-chu, director of the museum.

The exhibit is called "The Cultural Grandeur of the Western Zhou Dynasty" and co-hosted by the Taipei Palace Museum and the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Heritage Exchange Center.
