Beijing (CNS) -- Average daily traffic on Beijing toll roads will reach 1.55 million trips during the coming eight-day holiday, an increase of 33.6 percent over the same period last year, the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau announced on Friday.

September 30, October 1 and 7 will see the highest traffic peaks, the bureau said.

The capital's five busiest expressways will be the Beijing-Tibet, the Beijing-Chengde, the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau, the Jingkai and the Airport expressways, according to the bureau.

The bureau said 10 measures will be used to deal with the increase, including traffic signal control.

The public is advised to avoid peak days and take public transportation.
