Beijing (CNS) – Search engine Jike.com has teamed up with China's State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) to help curb counterfeit drug trading on the Internet.

An online ceremony to announce the cooperation was held Wednesday.

Sun Xianze, a senior official from the SFDA, said they will cooperate with the search engine to release drug safety information, reports of counterfeiting and public opinions.

Launched by search.people.com.cn in 2011, Jike.com is now linked with the SFDA's drug database, where Chinese netizens can search for drug information that can help them avoid buying fakes.
