Epic play 'A Dream Like A Dream' to tour Asia  

声川史诗巨制《如梦之梦》启动 演出时长八小时

首创环绕形式的剧场，如史诗一般八小时的演出时长，观众坐在舞台的中央，一百多个演员绕行，舞台包含八个方位、三个楼层，穿越时间(民国初年、现代)与空间(台北、巴黎、上海、北京、诺曼底)——这就是华人导演赖声川的史诗巨制《如梦之梦》。

Beijing (CNS) -- The eight-hour play 'A Dream Like A Dream' by Taiwanese playwright and theater director Stan Lai will be staged in Asia in 2013, the organizer said on Monday.

A promotional meeting for the tour was held in Beijing, attended by Lai and his production team. Mainland actress Xu Qing, who is currently the only fixed female leading role in the play, also attended.

Xu said she was honored to be part of such a great play, while Lai said Xu's personality and performance matched his imagination about the heroine.

For Lai's adventurous play, the audience is positioned in the center of the stage, while players perform around them from eight different positions.

The play is scheduled to tour Beijing, Wuzhen Township of Zhejiang Province, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taipei and Singapore.
