Panda 'Jiaozi' gives birth in Chengdu  

成都大熊猫“娇子”成功产仔

记者5日从成都大熊猫繁育研究基地获悉，2012年9月4日19：22，成都大熊猫繁育研究基地大熊猫“娇子”顺利产下一雌性大熊猫幼仔。

Chengdu (CNS) – The giant panda named "Jiaozi" gave birth to a female cub at 7:22 p.m. Tuesday at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the base said Wednesday.

Jiaozi was born on August 21, 1995, the offspring of mother "Bing Bing" and father "Lin Nan." Jiaozi has given birth to six litters with seven cubs, six of which survived.

Jiaozi was artificially inseminated on March 13 this year. The staff said both the mother and baby are doing well.
