Taiyuan (CNS) -- Cultural relics unearthed at sites at Renzhushan and Shizitan in Jixian County of Shanxi Province went on exhibit on August 25 at the Hukou Waterfall National Geopark.

According to local authorities, the exhibition includes human skull fragments from Wa Palace that date back about 6,200 years. Controversy continues over the identities of the remains.

The Shizitan Site ranked first on the Top Ten Archaeological Discoveries of 2001. More than 2,000 stone implements, ornaments and animal fossils have been found there.

The exhibition is part of the second Yellow River Hukou Cultural Tourism Festival.
