Kunming (CNS) -- Yang Liping, a celebrated Bai dancer from Yunnan Province, starred Thursday in the premier of the dance drama "The Peacock" at Haigeng Hall in Kunming.
The dance is a semi-autobiographical drama about life and love in Yang's hometown of Dali.
Yang, who is the show's chief choreographer, said she hopes to convey her feelings about life and art via the stage.
She appears in over half of the nearly two-hour show, in solo, trio and group dances.
