2012 Qingdao International Sailing Week opens  

第四届青岛国际帆船周开幕

亚洲规模最大、最富盛名的帆船界盛会—第四届青岛国际帆船周18日晚8时在此间奥林匹克帆船中心隆重启幕，来自全球12个国家和地区近千名嘉宾及帆船运动员齐聚青岛共享开幕盛宴。

Qingdao (CNS) -- Nearly a thousand guests and yachtsmen from 12 countries and areas attended the launch of the 2012 Qingdao International Sailing Week on Saturday morning.

It is the largest and most prestigious event in the Asian sailing community.

The event started in 2009 and has developed into a fixed and well-known international event within four years, G?ran Petersson, president of the International Sailing Federation, said at the opening ceremony at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center.

We sincerely look forward to domestic and foreign yachtsmen sailing and competing in our waters, said Zhang Xinqi, mayor of Qingdao.

The event will conclude on September 2.
