北京警方破获越境参赌团伙 29人落网

北京警方15日通报，成功打掉一个将赌局设在地下室，利用计算机服务器与境外赌局同步下注的赌博团伙，抓获涉嫌组织、参与赌博人员29人，当场收缴赌资8万余元人民币。

Beijing (CNS) -- The Beijing police force has smashed an underground gambling operation that had been hosting overseas gambling parties via the Internet, it announced on Sunday. More than 80,000 yuan (US$12,541) was seized on site and 29 suspects arrested.

The capital authority received a public complaint regarding a group of people in their community that had been behaving mysteriously at night.

The police conducted a raid around midnight on June 11 and caught the ring red-handed.

Five main organizers are facing criminal charges.
