Cultural relics of Bronze Age to tour US  

广汉三星堆馆藏67件文物2014年将出展美国

继今年3月首次出现在美国纽约时代广场“美国之鹰”电子显示屏上后,三星堆馆藏的67件文物又将于2014年9月出展美国并进行为期10个月的巡回展出。

Guanghan (CNS) -- Sanxingdui Museum will mount and manage a ten-month tour across the U.S. of a cultural relic exhibition starting on September 2014, it said on June 28.

Sanxingdui museum will partner with Bowers Museum in California to promote China's time-honored culture through the 67 items in the collection. It is also expected to enhance the popularity of the Sanxingdui Ruins.

Sanxingdui Museum, 40 kilometers away from Chengdu City in Sichuan Province, is a theme museum established in the 1990s and devoted to the Sanxingdui Ruins and its culture relics.

Sanxingdui Ruins belong to important sites under national-level protection and is classified into the cultural sites of the Bronze Age in southwest China.

Sanxingdui Ruins located in Guanghan, Sichuan province were excavated in 1980. Excavators discovered remnants of an ancient city, considered as a large architectural treasure completed in the early period of the Shang Dynasty.
