1,299 people transferred from flood zone   

暴雨致粤北韶关市内涝 千余人被困洪水获救

连续多日的暴雨导致广东韶关浈江、武江、新丰、乐昌等十个县区68个乡镇受灾，韶关市区工业路、博物馆等多处地段出现严重内涝。该市三防办24日下午发布信息称，目前该市已有45578人受灾、6215公顷农田被毁，直接经济损失8200万元人民币。

Shaoguan (CNS) -- Ongoing heavy rains since June 21 have affected 68 townships of Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province. A series of floods occurred in the downtown area of the city.

Some 45,578 people were affected, 6,215 hectares of farmland were destroyed, and estimates of direct economic losses already hit 82 million yuan, the local authority revealed on June 24.

Trapped people numbering 1,299 were transferred from flooded areas to safe zones and there are no reports of deaths or injuries.
