上海国际电影节19日在大光明电影院举行修复版老电影《十字街头》首映，影片男女主演、著名电影演员赵丹的女儿赵青、白杨之子蒋晓松出席，与观众重温父母的银幕风采。
Shanghai (CNS) -- A newly restored version of the classic Chinese movie Crossroads premiered at Daguangming Cinema on June 19, as a special tribute of the of Shanghai International Festival (SIFF).
Zhao Qing, daughter of the film's hero Zhao Dan, and Jiang Xiaosong, son of heroine Baiyang, joined audiences for the riveting drama performed by their parents.
"My mother and Mr. Zhao Dan were so young," Jiang Xiaosong remarked, thrilled to see the restored film on the big screen.
More than 200 ladies deliberately donned cheongsam to watch the movie in the style of the 1930s and 1940s era of 'old Shanghai' depicted in the film.
Other nostaligic fare included "A Spring River Flows East" "Eight Thousand Li of Cloud and Moon" and "Crossroads." They are among the first film classics restorations initiated last year by SIFF.
