Guangzhou (CNS) -- Various governmental departments in the city of Guangzhou recently released their official expenditures for 2010.
Among items drawing attention, the government car fleet was the largest expense, and the budget for public health services for public servants far exceeded the total amount of the city's rural medical security.
Official expenditures are basically categorized into overseas trips, official vehicles, and reception costs.
The city's human resources, quality supervision and civil affairs authorities spent approximately 15 to 20 million yuan (US$2.36-3.14 million) respectively in 2010, earning them the rating of most "luxurious" official organs.
Other departments spent far less than these three, yet the information provided is considered by the public to be barely satisfactory owing to their less detailed lists of items.
