Guangzhou (CNS) -- The last transit of Venus during the 21st century will take place on the morning of June 6, and the best observation region will be east China, predicts Wuyang Planetarium.

A transit of Venus occurs when Venus, the Sun and the Earth fall on a straight line. The next close brush will await another 105.5 years, falling on December 11, 2117.

The transit can be observed across Europe, eastern Africa, Asia, Oceania, North America, and northwestern South America, and will last for more than six hours.

No device is needed to catch sight of the phenomenon, but a telescope will definitely perfect the image.
