Beijing (CNS) -- The Taiwan Chef Club was established in Beijing on Wednesday, gathering the elites in the catering industry to discuss the preparation of Chinese food. The club is now a second home to nearly two hundred Taiwanese chefs who work on the mainland.
It aims to serve as a professional platform for culinary masters where ideas, skills and opinions, are exchanged and to provide practical information to members on ingredients and major styles of cooking.
Xie Huixu, who has devoted himself to the food industry for nearly 30 years, shoulders the honorary chairmanship of the club. The mainland market has great potential, said Xie, and in future, the club will combine the unique materials of the mainland with Taiwan cooking styles together to develop dishes with a new twist.
